Despite having the largest Muslim population in Western Europe, much of the French public discriminates against Muslims, particularly hijab-wearing women. 81% of the victims of hate crimes in France are Muslim women, according to IFOP.

This project is a hypothetical partnership between myself and Lallab, a non-profit based in Paris advocating for Muslim women’s rights and fair treatment. Drawing from their foundation of community, action and theory, this PR campaign considers the best ways to speak to our target audience via cultural communication channels. The ultimate goal of this campaign broader than removing the stigma of hijabs; it works to inspire acceptance of Muslim communities as members of French culture with the goal of ending violence against Muslim women.
